U.S. Rep. Phil Roe
Roe says he's 'moving on' from impeachment vote

The morning after President Donald Trump became the third American president to be impeached, U.S. Rep. Phil Roe, R-1st, said he “needed some cooling off” from the historic daylong debate and vote in Congress.
“This is the first morning I haven’t gone to the prayer breakfast,” the Johnson City lawmaker told reporters Thursday on a conference call from Washington, D.C.
Roe voted “no” on both articles of impeachment in the U.S. House on Wednesday night. The congressman joined his fellow Republicans in calling the impeachment process a “sham” and a “charade.”
“We are going to move on,” Roe said. “I’m having trouble in moving on from that.”
