Emili Brooks knocked down 26 kills Wednesday to lead Union to a 25-21, 25-17, 25-23 win over Gate City in the Mountain 7 District tournament semifinals. Union will meet Abingdon in the finals.
Following semifinal wins Tuesday, third-seeded Rye Cove will square off with top-seeded Eastside on Thursday to decide the Cumberland District champion.
Behind another strong performance from Emili Brooks, Union played its way into the semifinal round of the Mountain 7 District tournament with a sweep of Ridgeview on Monday.
