Staff report • Nov 8, 2019 at 11:11 AM

KINGSPORT — Police say several thousands of dollars in property has been stolen from a storage facility on North John B Dennis Highway, where two suspects broke into nearly a dozen separate units.

According to a Kingsport Police Department press release, the incident occurred at 24 Hour Self Storage on the afternoon of Oct. 29. The alleged burglars, who were recorded by surveillance video, reportedly cut the locking mechanisms on each unit to steal various renters’ personal property.

Further investigation revealed that the suspects had cut a hole in the chain link fencing surrounding the property, then cut a chain on a gate to gain access to the storage units.

Investigators are now seeking tips on the two white male adult suspects, as well as their vehicle, a gold Toyota 4-door sedan with a sunroof. Anyone with information is asked to call the KPD at (423) 229-9429 or (423) 246-9111.
