KINGSPORT — The Kingsport Chamber is launching a multimedia marketing campaign — The Chamber Advantage — for the month of March in an effort to attract new members and to highlight the numerous ways the organization promotes and supports local business.

The promotional plan showcases the advantages of being a member of the 72-year-strong organization. The communications strategy includes print and digital ads in local media, social media promotions, testimonials from current members, the release of a new member video, news stories and op-ed and editorial support.

“The Kingsport Chamber serves first and foremost as the voice of business,” said Lori Payne, Kingsport Chamber chair and financial controller and Contour Glass human resources director. “The Kingsport Chamber champions, promotes and protects business interests through its many award-winning programs and provides a number of opportunities for businesses to market themselves, network with business and civic leaders and get involved in the community. Most importantly, membership in the Kingsport Chamber helps a business grow by gaining visibility and attracting new customers.”

Some of the benefits of Kingsport Chamber membership include: networking opportunities, marketing and sponsorship opportunities, legislation advocacy, business support and services, training opportunities, community involvement, recognition, connections to key business and government leaders, personal and professional development, education and workforce development support, access to communications that allow members to stay informed on community news and events, and building credibility by association with one of the world’s oldest and most recognized brands.

“The Kingsport Chamber of Commerce is a wonderful asset not only to our community but also to the entire region,” said Greg Perdue, Kingsport Chamber membership chair and commercial banking relationship manager with First Tennessee Bank. “With dedicated individuals focusing on all aspects of business ranging from tourism and relocation to state advocacy in our government chambers, any support your business may need can be found at the Kingsport Chamber. Moreover, Kingsport Chamber events are ideally suited to foster networking within the business community, making Chamber membership a necessity for any business owner.”

“There’s so much we do to help businesses get connected to potential customers, other businesses, city and community leaders and the community at large,” said Lindsay Powers, Kingsport Chamber membership and events director. “We offer the opportunity for any business interested in joining to meet with us so we can discuss the many ways they can take advantage of Chamber membership to grow their business.”
